TPCI officials meet Minister of State for the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India

TPCI officials Shri. M K Parimoo, Secretary General and Shri. Kapil Gupta Jt. DG TPCI met Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Minsiter of State for Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India and Shri. Gupta presented memento to Smt. Sitharaman.
TPCI officials paid their visit to the minister and conveyed about recent trade promotion activities being conducted by TPCI to promote Indian industries and business in international markets. The officials conveyed about the core industry and trade research being conducted by TPCI for the ministry and other stakeholders including industries and institutions.
TPCI officials presented the monthly periodical “Global Economic Monitor” being released Center for Advanced Trade Research (CATR), TPCI. The monitor is global trade reckoner, a compilation of global trade movements of the world, segregated region wise. The minister appreciated the TPCI officials and CATR team for efforts put in to release such a vast compilation.
During the meet, the officials and minister also discussed about the prospects and dimensions of growth opportunity for Indian industry, challenges arising at the global level, efforts required to tackle the same and how TCPI can value add the efforts of Ministry and other Government machinery for the same.
Smt. Sitharaman greeted TPCI officials with thanks and wished all the best for their vision and future endeavours.
