Chairman Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) meets President & Vice- President of China National Furniture Association (CNFA)

Chairman TPCI, Mr Mohit Singla met Mr Xiangnam President and Ms Tu Qi Vice- President of China National Furniture Association (CNFA) in Beijing, China on 19^th November 2019. Both side explored the future possibility of collaboration looking at the great potential that India holds in the furniture sector. 

China National Furniture Association (CNFA), founded in 1989, is composed of individuals, civil societies, public organizations and businesses from such areas as manufacturing, management, R&D and education in the furniture industry and other furniture-related industries.

It is supervised by the China National Light Industry Council. So far, the CNFA has assumed the Director membership of the National Technical Committee 480 on Furniture of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC480), the Vice Chairmanship of the China National Light Industry Council, the Chairmanship of the Council of Asia Furniture Associations (CAFA) and the Chairmanship of the World Furniture Confederation (WFC). It is also rated by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China as an AAAAA association.

CNFA is the bridge between the overall furniture industry and the government. On the one hand, it serves the needs and interests of its members and makes the voice of the industry heard by the government; on the other hand, it introduces official policies to its community.

Major work of the CNFA includes hosting furniture exhibitions, promoting industrial clusters, providing information, training professionals, encouraging the development of designs, joining ISO/TC136 and SAC/TC480 for standardization work and promoting exchanges and communication between domestic and overseas industries.
