India 8th largest services exporter
According to a recent report by World Trade Organization, India was the 8th-largest services exporter and the 10th-largest services importer in 2018. It was also the 2nd– largest exporter of ICT products in 2018. India also was one of the top 10 global automotive exporters during the year. This has been on account of a strong domestic demand, high oil prices, increases in imports of fuels and mining products, precious stones and electrical machinery. India’s performance was also boosted by rapid export growth (of around 9%) in other business services for 3 successive years and 7% growth in telecommunications, computer and information services.
