CIM reaches out to Russia

The Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal recently addressed a business delegation from India on strengthening business ties with Russia’s Far East Region in Vladivostok. In his address, he spoke about the need for bilateral investment treaties and payment security mechanism for power purchase agreements. Given the low costs of land and labour, local pool of Hindi or English interpreters and the presence of a corruption-free government, he explained how India is an attractive investment destination.

In a separate session, the minister also spoke about the scope of sectors like agriculture, food processing, diamond trade and renewable energy.
