Australia to pressurize India & China over RCEP

The Scott Morrison government is looking to exert pressure over India & China to get an EU-style Asian trade agreement. Its Trade Minister, Simon Birmingham is going to hold talks with his Indian & Chinese counterparts to reduce Indian resistance towards removing agricultural tariffs. Australia wants RCEP to be modeled on EU lines, encompassing 30% of global GDP. 
“From our perspective having that Asian economic bloc encompassing the giants of China and India the traditional partners in Japan, South Korea and New Zealand and then the real emerging tigers of  the ASEAN economy is exciting,” stated Simon Birmingham .
