Government considering PLI scheme for furniture sector to boost domestic manufacturing

An official said the government is considering a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for certain types of furniture to boost domestic manufacturing and exports and generate employment in the sector. The official said that the proposal is at the stage of discussion.
