TPCI strengthens India-US F&B trade connect
The Trade Promotion Council of India successfully organised the 5th Edition of the India–USA Buyer Seller Meet on Food & Beverage in New Jersey, USA, creating a focused platform for Indian exporters to engage directly with American importers, distributors and buyers.

The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), with the support of the Consulate General of India in New York, organised the 5th Edition of the India–USA Buyer Seller Meet on Food & Beverage in New Jersey, USA, on 25 June 2026. The event was inaugurated by Shri Vishal J. Harsh, Deputy Consul General of India in New York.
The Buyer Seller Meet witnessed participation from 20 Indian exporters and more than 80 importers from the United States, reflecting strong interest in India’s growing food and beverage capabilities. The participating Indian companies represented a wide range of product categories including consumer foods, tea and coffee, gourmet foods, sweets and confectionery, seafood, grains and pulses, beverages, organic and health foods, Indian ethnic foods, vegan products, rice and spices.
The United States remains one of the most important global markets for food and beverage products. With its large consumer base, diverse retail formats, strong ethnic food demand and rising interest in healthy, organic and specialty products, the US offers significant opportunities for Indian exporters. At the same time, the current phase of global trade disruptions, logistics uncertainty and cost pressures makes direct buyer engagement even more important for exporters seeking reliable market access.
TPCI’s Buyer Seller Meet provided Indian exporters with a structured platform to connect with relevant importers, wholesalers, distributors and medium-to-large scale buyers. Such engagements help exporters understand evolving market expectations, packaging requirements, pricing sensitivities, compliance needs and distribution channels in the US market.
The event is expected to support greater visibility for Indian F&B products, strengthen commercial linkages and open new opportunities for export growth. By facilitating direct conversations between Indian suppliers and US buyers, TPCI continues to play an important role in expanding India’s food and beverage exports and deepening India–USA trade relations.
