TPCI signs MoU with FederlegnoArredo, Italy

Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) has signed a MoU with FederlegnoArredo (FLA), Italy today at Milan for mutual collaboration in developing furniture and allied clusters in India. FLA, an EFIC member, represents the Italian Furniture industry at the national level. It also supports a well-functioning EU Single Market, improved trade opportunities and sustainable & circular business models.

Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) marks another major milestone today in its vision to align global investor interest in the Indian furniture sector.

The Council has signed a MoU with FederlegnoArredo (FLA), Italy today at Salone del Mobile, Milano for mutual collaboration in developing modern furniture and allied clusters in India.

The MoU signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon’ble CGI Milan Ms T. Ajungla Jamir. In her remarks, the Hon’ble CG mentioned that India and Italy are strategic partners and this is an important MoU to deepen this partnership further.

TPCI was represented by Chairman Mohit Singla, while FLA was represented by President Claudio Feltrin during the MoU signing ceremony. Also present during the ceremony was Edi Snaidero, President of European Furniture Industry Confederation and Italian Kitchen Furniture Association.

A separate meeting was held with Ms. Maria Porro, Presidente of Salone del Mobile and President of Assarredo, the Italian Association of Furniture, for mutual cooperation. Salone del Mobile is expected to lead a delegation to visit India later this year.

Mr Singla met other key members of the EFIC, as well as numerous entrepreneurs and Presidents of European national furniture associations during his visit. He also discussed the prospects of organising a grand furniture trade & investment show in India for support & development of the industry.

TPCI is a World Furniture Confederation member, and has been engaging with global investors across key producing countries for setting up furniture clusters in India. Major producing countries have already signed MoUs to partner in this grand vision.

FLA, an EFIC member, represents the Italian Furniture industry at the national level. It also supports a well-functioning EU Single Market, improved trade opportunities and sustainable & circular business models.
