The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) successfully organized the India-LAC Buyer-Seller Meet (BSM) focused on the pharmaceutical sector in Bogotá, Colombia, on July 14, 2025. The event served as a strategic platform to deepen trade ties between India and the Latin American & Caribbean (LAC) region, with a spotlight on strengthening pharma exports.
The BSM was inaugurated by His Excellency Shri Vanlalhuma, Ambassador of India to Colombia, alongside the former Colombian Ambassador to India and the President of the India-Colombia Chamber of Commerce. In his address, Ambassador Vanlalhuma highlighted India’s globally recognized pharmaceutical capabilities and the scope for enhanced cooperation with Colombia and the broader LAC region.
The event witnessed participation from 14 prominent Indian pharmaceutical companies, showcasing a wide array of formulations, APIs, and healthcare products. Approximately 60 Colombian buyers, distributors, and importers engaged in pre-scheduled B2B meetings with the Indian exporters. This provided an effective platform for exploring new business opportunities, understanding market dynamics, and fostering long-term trade partnerships.
