The committee brings together eminent industry leaders and experts from across the bio-energy ecosystem, with the mandate to serve as a collaborative platform for dialogue, policy advocacy, and actionable strategies.

In its inaugural meeting, the committee unanimously elected Mr. Atul Mulay, President – Bioenergy, Praj Industries, as Chairperson, and Lt Col (Retd) Monish Ahuja, CMD, PRESPL & Chairman, CBEII, as Co-Chairperson.

Speaking on the occasion, members emphasized the importance of creating a dedicated forum that can channel the industry’s collective expertise into workable solutions. The committee will focus on charting roadmaps, defining KPIs, and setting realistic targets that contribute meaningfully to India’s energy transition and climate commitments.

The launch of this committee reflects TPCI’s commitment to promoting sustainable industries of the future. By uniting diverse voices from across the value chain, we aim to accelerate the adoption of bio-energy solutions, address industry challenges, and support India’s journey towards a greener economy.

The committee will present its initial roadmap, laying the foundation for long-term action on issues such as biofuels, biogas, biomass supply chains, and waste-to-energy solutions.

With India’s growing emphasis on clean energy, the National Committee on Bio-Energy is expected to play a pivotal role in policy engagement, industry collaboration, and global competitiveness of India’s bio-energy sector.
