Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) has taken another significant step towards expanding India’s global trade footprint by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Colombia-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CICCI). The agreement was formalized on 9 September 2025 in New Delhi, marking a new chapter in bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

The MoU was signed by Shri Sandip Das, Deputy Director General, TPCI, and Mr. Mauricio Chaves, Vice President, CICCI. It aims to foster stronger economic linkages, facilitate trade exchanges, and open new avenues for businesses from both countries to collaborate and thrive in diverse sectors.

India and Colombia share complementary strengths that can be leveraged for mutual growth. While Colombia is rich in natural resources and holds strategic importance as a gateway to Latin America, India offers expertise in IT, pharmaceuticals, textiles, engineering goods, food processing, and a wide spectrum of services. This MoU will provide a structured framework for connecting enterprises, encouraging investments, and addressing challenges in market access.
