Strengthening India’s food trade footprint in Europe

TPCI organised the India Pavilion at Vitafoods Europe 2026 to showcase India’s growing food and nutraceutical capabilities and strengthen business opportunities in the European market.

The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) organised the India Pavilion at Vitafoods Europe 2026, bringing together 15 Indian exporters to showcase a wide spectrum of food and nutraceutical products to the European market. The pavilion received a distinguished visit from Inbasekar Sundaramurthi, Consul General of India in Barcelona, and Sumodh Sarasan.

The visit highlighted India’s growing engagement with the European food and nutraceutical ecosystem and underscored the importance of strengthening commercial linkages between Indian companies and EU stakeholders. During their interaction with exhibitors, the dignitaries explored the diverse product offerings presented by Indian participants and appreciated the increasing focus on quality, innovation, value addition, and global compliance standards among Indian exporters.

The India Pavilion served as an important platform for facilitating business networking, market outreach, and buyer engagement for Indian F&B and nutraceutical companies seeking to expand their footprint in Europe. With the European Union continuing to remain a high-potential market for health-focused, sustainable, and value-added food products, participation in global platforms such as Vitafoods Europe enables Indian businesses to better understand evolving consumer preferences, regulatory expectations, and emerging opportunities in the region.

Through initiatives like these, TPCI continues to support Indian exporters in enhancing international visibility, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening India’s positioning in global food and nutraceutical value chains.
