India Food Manufacturing Summit: Driving sustainability in the F&B industry
The India Food Manufacturing Summit 2025, organised in New Delhi by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), brought together leading policymakers, industry experts, and innovators to chart a roadmap for the future of India’s food and beverage (F&B) manufacturing sector. Held under the theme “Envisioning a Sustainable Future for India’s F&B Industry,” the summit focused on sustainability, operational excellence, innovation, and packaging technologies.
The summit was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Devesh Deval, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India, who emphasized the need for long-term vision, policy alignment, and public-private collaboration to make India a global leader in food processing. “The quality of insights from industry leaders today will significantly aid our future policymaking,” he remarked.
Delivering the welcome address, Mohit Singla, Chairman, TPCI, highlighted the transformative power of technology for the food processing industry. “India’s food and beverage industry is at a critical inflexion point. We now have a golden opportunity to leapfrog legacy systems and build a future-ready, tech-enabled food ecosystem,” he stated, urging a shift from raw material export to value-added food manufacturing.
