Bihar’s agri produce finds global footing at F&B RBSM 2025

The grand International Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet on food and beverage products in Bihar successfully concluded at Gyaan Bhawan, after two dynamic days of global trade engagement and food innovation. The event was inaugurated by Shri Chirag Paswan, Hon’ble Union Minister for Food Processing Industries.

Organised with the support of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and the Government of Bihar, and in collaboration with APEDA and TPCI, the meet brought together over 70 international buyers from more than 20 countries and 100 Indian exhibitors—affirming Bihar’s growing status as a rising force in agri exports.

The recently concluded Mega Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet on F&B products, inaugurated by Shri Chirag Paswan, Hon’ble Minister of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, provided an excellent platform for F&B companies in Bihar to explore global opportunities and connect with international buyers. Held at Gyaan Bhawan, the two-day event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, and the State Government of Bihar, with support from APEDA and the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI).

The event saw active participation from over 70 buyers representing more than 20 countries—including 6 major global retail chains—and around 100 exhibitors from Bihar, underlining the growing interest in the state’s agri and food processing sectors.

In his address at the inauguration, Shri Paswan expressed satisfaction over the enthusiastic response and reiterated the government’s commitment to building a robust support ecosystem for entrepreneurs. He emphasized that such initiatives align with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of empowering youth to become job creators.

Key dignitaries present included Shri Minhaj Alam, Additional Secretary, MoFPI; Shri Abhishek Dev, Chairman, APEDA; Shri Vijay Kumar Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar; Shri Nitish Mishra, Industry Minister, Govt. of Bihar; and Shri Mihir Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, Govt. of Bihar.

TPCI Chairman Mohit Singla commended the joint efforts of the Central and State governments during the inauguration, noting that the event had created a powerful platform for Bihar’s businesses. He expressed confidence that participants would benefit significantly from the opportunities and connections made during the meet.

As Bihar advances as a rising agri-export hub, the RBSM served as a critical milestone, spotlighting the state’s rich agricultural resources and expanding food processing capabilities. It has laid the groundwork for long-term trade collaborations and opened new doors for Bihar’s F&B sector on the global stage.
