Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) with support of Department of Commerce, Government of India is organizing its flagship export promotion event called Source India Bangladesh on 20th and 21st March, 2023. This platform will support Dyes & Dyes Intermediates, Chemicals, Agro Chemicals, Cosmetics, Toiletries Specialty Chemicals, Food Ingredients, Fragrance and In –organic Chemicals to showcase their products and technologies in Bangladesh market.
Indo-Bangladesh Exports of Organic, Inorganic Chemicals, Agro Chemicals, Dyes, and Ceramic Products
India’s total exports to Bangladesh stood at US$ 9.7 billion in FY 2020-21 constituting of 3.32% of India’s total export share. April-Nov 2021 Indian exports to Bangladesh were reported at US$ 9.2 billion and 3.48% of India’s total export share (DGCIS, 2022). Among chemicals (organic and inorganic), dyes and ceramic products, exported value of organic chemical exports were the highest but witnessed a decline of -4% YoY in 2020 over 2019. Growth in exports of only inorganic chemical exports was noted of 24%. The share of Indian exports in Bangladesh’s total imports was observed to be highest in case of Tanning or Dyeing Extracts (HSN 32) accounting to 30% of Bangladesh’s total imports of the product (UN COMTRADE, 2022).
