Italy is the leading exporter of pasta in the world, with aggregate export value of US$ 2.86 billion in 2018. It is followed by China (US$ 923.43 million) and South Korea (US$ 556 million). The US is the world’s largest importer of pasta, with aggregate imports of US$ 988.25 million in 2018, followed by Germany (US$ 808.1 million) and France (US$ 710.63 million).

Exports of pasta from India surged at a CAGR of 11% during 2014 to 2018, and were valued at around US$ 26 million. The key nations that import India’s pasta or spaghetti are: Bangladesh, USA, Russia, Vietnam, Bhutan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, and Nepal.
