Indian Food & Beverage sector to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The Trade Promotion Council of India is organizing a 25-company delegation from the Indian Food & Beverage sector to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on 4th August 2026, from the Indian Food & Beverage industry to Vietnam with the objective of enhancing business opportunities and strengthening trade ties between the two countries.

The delegation will feature pre-arranged Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings with leading importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and large-scale buyers, along with interactions with relevant government and regulatory stakeholders.

Food Trade with Vietnam & Opportunities Ahead

Vietnam presents a significant opportunity for Indian Food & Beverage exporters. The country’s F&B imports have grown from US$ 16.8 billion in 2020 to US$ 28.5 billion in 2025, demonstrating strong and sustained demand for imported food products.

With a population of over 101 million consumers, rising disposable incomes, rapid urbanization, and growing demand for quality food products, Vietnam has emerged as one of Southeast Asia’s most attractive food markets.

Vietnam’s participation in the ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement (AIFTA) provides preferential tariff access for several Food & Beverage and agricultural products, offering Indian exporters enhanced market access and greater competitiveness in Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region market.

Major F&B imports of Vietnam include fruits & nuts, cereals, seafood, meat products, edible oils, processed foods, beverages, dairy products, coffee, tea, spices, and confectionery products.

This delegation will provide Indian manufacturers and exporters of rice, tea, coffee, spices, processed foods, confectionery, seafood, beverages, fruits & vegetables, and other food products a focused platform to connect directly with Vietnamese buyers, explore new business opportunities, and expand their presence in the market.
