The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) successfully organised the 4th edition of the India Food Manufacturing Summit on September 12, 2025, at The Leela, Gandhinagar. The summit served as an important platform for stakeholders across the food and beverage (F&B) manufacturing ecosystem to deliberate on technology, innovation, and sustainability as key drivers for the sector’s growth and competitiveness.

The event witnessed the participation of leading industry representatives, innovators, policymakers, and professionals from the food processing technology domain. Discussions were centred on identifying practical solutions and pathways to strengthen India’s food manufacturing base while addressing both domestic demand and international opportunities.

One of the core themes of the summit was sustainability in F&B manufacturing, with speakers highlighting the challenges in adopting green practices and the opportunities available to companies that integrate sustainability into their business models. The session also addressed the role of infrastructure, investment, and policy support in accelerating this transition.

Another important focus area was the snacks segment, where experts discussed how India can scale its production and supply chains to meet growing domestic and global demand. The deliberations highlighted the need for innovation in packaging, logistics, and technology adoption to enhance competitiveness.

On the technology front, the summit explored how solutions such as retort processing and individual quick freezing (IQF) are emerging as game changers for the sector. These technologies were recognised as critical enablers for extending shelf life, improving food safety, and boosting the export potential of Indian products.

The future of dairy processing in India was also examined in detail, with participants emphasising the role of efficiency, modern technology, and product diversification in strengthening the sector. Given the importance of dairy to India’s agri-food economy, discussions stressed the need for continued investment in research, innovation, and processing capabilities.

Through these deliberations, the summit underscored how technology, innovation, and sustainability can converge to transform India’s food processing landscape. The sessions reflected a shared vision of building global competitiveness while ensuring long-term value creation for businesses, consumers, and the environment.

TPCI extends its appreciation to all speakers, partners, and participants for their valuable contributions, which made the 4th edition of the India Food Manufacturing Summit a meaningful and successful engagement.
