TPCI launches its first National Committee on Dairy Industry

Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) has launched its National Committee on Dairy Industry, a landmark initiative to strengthen India’s dairy sector domestically and globally. Bringing together leading producers, processors, and technology providers, the committee will serve as a collaborative platform for dialogue, policy advocacy, and growth strategies. 

The Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) has announced the formation of its National Committee on Dairy Industry, marking a significant initiative to strengthen and promote India’s dairy sector both domestically and globally.

The committee brings together eminent industry leaders and experts from across the dairy ecosystem, with the mandate to serve as a collaborative platform for dialogue, policy advocacy, and strategic interventions.

In its inaugural meeting, the committee unanimously elected Mr. Rahul Kumar Srivastava, COO, Parag Milk Foods Ltd., as Chairperson and Ms. Namita Kumar, Director, Param Dairy Ltd., as Co-Chairperson.

Speaking on the occasion, members highlighted the importance of creating a dedicated forum that can address industry challenges, explore opportunities, and provide constructive solutions. The committee will focus on policy representation, strengthening farmer-industry linkages, global market promotion, and preparing a white paper on the growth and sustainability of India’s dairy sector.

This initiative reflects TPCI’s commitment to promoting sustainable and competitive industries of the future. By uniting diverse voices from across the dairy value chain, TPCI aims to accelerate innovation, enhance global competitiveness, and ensure India’s dairy sector continues to play a vital role in food security, rural livelihood, and economic growth.

The committee will soon present its initial roadmap, laying the foundation for long-term action on issues such as processing innovations, exports, quality assurance, and building a strong international presence for Indian dairy.

With representation from leading names such as Country Delight, Ananda Dairy, Creamy Foods, Milky Mist, Hatsun Agro, Goma Engineering, and Repute Engineers, the committee brings together a formidable mix of producers, processors, and technology providers. Their combined expertise and vision are expected to provide actionable strategies that will strengthen India’s position as one of the world’s largest and most dynamic dairy industries.
