FSSAI releases new draft for GM content in foods The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) released a new draft for food items containing 1% or more Genetically Modified (GM) content. Manufacturers and importers of GM food and ingredients must adhere to the guidelines and submit an application to the FSSAI for prior approval.
