Government considering PLI scheme for furniture sector to ramp up manufacturing

The federal government is contemplating a Manufacturing Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for sure varieties of furnishings to spice up home manufacturing, and exports and create jobs within the sector, reported PTI citing an official. The proposal is on the dialogue stage, the official added.
