The first-ever “Seller Guide” for Indian exporters has been released by eBay, a global e-commerce leader that links millions of consumers and sellers.

eBay’s main focus in India is to facilitate cross-border trade for Indian small businesses (SMEs and MSMEs) in more than 190 countries by helping them expand their businesses abroad, irrespective of business sizes, locations, and categories.

According to eBay, the handbook serves as a vital tool, providing sellers who are venturing into cross-border e-commerce with a complete roadmap. This guide facilitates a seamless and successful seller e-commerce export journey, as it provides information ranging from India-centric supply to onboarding procedures, promotions, and shipping strategies.

For Indian merchants, the seller guide also delves deeply into major export categories and product lines including Luxury Jewelry like bracelets, and diamond necklaces, Four-Wheeler Parts & Accessories, Heavy Equipment & Metal Working Products, Leather Jackets, Rugs, and Ayurvedic products & herbal remedies.

Vidmay Naini, General Manager, eBay’s Global Emerging Markets said, “As we near the end of 2023, eBay is committed to creating economic opportunities for all. As we see a promising outlook, we are dedicated to propelling cross-border trade and nurturing a more interconnected global economy. Our user-friendly platform with advanced technology ensures a seamless and compelling experience that resonates with the aspirations of the next generation of customers.”

He further added, “We wholeheartedly support the government’s ‘Make in India’ and e-commerce export initiatives, and we look forward to a bright and prosperous future as we contribute to the ongoing acceleration of cross-border e-commerce in India.”

eBay in India also promotes relationships with industry associations and policymakers to develop a valuable ecosystem for international trade.

eBay Inc. is an American multinational e-commerce company based in San Jose, California, that facilitates consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer sales through its website. eBay was founded by Pierre Omidyar in 1995.
