TPCI signs MoU with Russia Export Centre for enhancing mutual cooperation in the field of trade and investment promotion

Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia Export Centre for mutual cooperation in the field of trade and investment promotion between the two organizations. This MoU was signed on the sidelines of the visit of an Integrated Business Mission of Russian companies to the Republic of India organized by Russia Export Centre, and coinciding with the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India.

During Mr. Putin’s visit, Indian and Russia signed several pacts in areas ranging from defence, nuclear energy, space, economy and other areas including the USD 5 billion S-400 air defence system deal.

The MoU for enhancing joint cooperation was signed by Tara Chand, Director – TPCI and Ms. Anna Belyaeva, Managing Director for International Development, Russia Export Centre at Gurgaon.

As part of the joint MoU, TPCI and Russia Export Centre have agreed to strengthen and assist cooperation aimed at enhancing trade and investment promotion activities. The two apex organizations have\ agreed to dupport and develop trade and investment cooperation between India and Russian Federation by taking all necessary measures within their competence and scope and powers, pursuant to the national legislations of the two countries.

The Russia Export Centre is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization which unites national business leaders aiming to promote the development of friendly investment environment and facilitate trade and economic cooperation.
