Sansui makes India its hub after corp tax cut

Encouraged by the recent cut in corporate tax from 30% to 22%, Sansui, which has joined hands with Jaina Group, is gearing up to enter the Indian market and make it one of its global production hubs. Jaina Group is going to invest around Rs 500 crore for a plant near Gurugram to produce smart televisions and appliances like washing machine, refrigerator and air-conditioners. The plant is likely to be operational by next July and generate over 3,000 jobs.

Pradeep Jain, Managing Director, Jaina Group, opined “We will pitch for supplying of the products to other Sansui operations globally since we can now compete on pricing with other production hubs in China and Taiwan after the drop in taxation.”
