Industry alarmed about cyber threats

The findings of Future of Cybersecurity in Asia Pacific and Japan-Culture, Efficiency, Awareness report suggest that about 66% of business decision makers in India believe that lack of security expertise is a challenge for their organizations. Further, 63% of Indian businesses are fretful about being exposed to cyber threats due to employee errors. Only 19% of Indian organisations regularly make significant amendments to their cyber security approach, and 38% intend to make changes to their security approach in the next 6-24 months.

“As the threat landscape evolves, businesses too need to advance their defence mechanisms with synchronised security solutions that are designed to strengthen their cyber security posture,” opined Sunil Sharma, Managing Director, Sales, Sophos India and SAARC.
