India’s steel output falls in Nov

For the second straight month in November, India’s crude steel output declined yoy 2.8% to 8.934 million tonne (MT) according to the latest report by World Steel Association. Last year in the corresponding period, the country’s crude steel output stood at 9.192 MT. the report also notes that in October 2019, India had reported a 3.4% fall in crude steel output at 9.089 MT as against 9.408 MT in the year-ago month. International steel production too registered a 1% fall at 147.791 MT in November 2019 as compared with 149.356 MT in November 2018.
