India ranks 17th on mobile phone exports
India’s mobile phone exports have risen at a CAGR of 17% annually over the past five years, and become the 23rd largest exported product for the country. With the increase in 2018 to US$ 1.07 billion, India has made a huge jump by 21 positions to reach 17th rank on the exporters list. The top three exporters of mobile phones were China, Vietnam and Hong Kong. China has a huge 49% share of global mobile phone exports followed by Vietnam (13%) and Hong Kong (10.9%). India on the other hand garners a share of just 0.4%, but the increase of the past five years brings hope for a brighter future.
