GST collected in July reaches Rs 1.02 tn

Official data collected in July’19 suggested that gross GST collections stood at Rs 1.02 lakh crore, 5.8% higher than the Rs 96,483 crore collected in July 2018. The reports suggest that Central GST, State GST & Integrated GST collections amounted to Rs 17,912 crore, Rs 25,008 crore and Rs 50,612 crore respectively during this period. The total cess collection stood at Rs 8,551 crore according to the same reports. The reports also said that gross GST collections recorded during April-July stood at Rs 4,16,176 crore, an escalation from Rs 3,89,568 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
