Agriculture sector will be big in India

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, CMD, Biocon, has asserted that she is quite interested in the business opportunities in the agriculture and digital healthcare sectors. In a statement to ET Panache, she commented, “I would like to spend my billion dollars in many sectors. Digital healthcare comes with interesting opportunities. Agriculture is also an area which has amazing technologies that I would love to invest in. This sector will have a big opportunity, both in India and also worldwide.” She further added, “I would also back the area of research in addressing unmet medical needs through drug discovery including cancer, neuro sciences and age-related illnesses.”
