9% hike in real estate investments
A recent report calibrated by the global property consultant Colliers points out that there has been a 9% hike in real estate investments to INR 43,780 crore during this calendar year owing to higher inflow from foreign funds. Office properties received 46% of the total inflow and accounted for nearly Rs 20,000 crore of the total investments this year. It was also interesting to note that 78% of the total investments in 2019 were foreign funds – the highest share ever.
“We recommend investors to look at opportunistic assets including under-construction office assets, supported by strong demand dynamics in information technology (IT)-led markets such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune, offering ample opportunities to investors” opined Sankey Prasad, Managing Director and Chairman at Colliers International India.
