The National Food Security Act will be implemented in all the states by next month, said the Union Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. According to him, all states and Union territories have enforced the Act except Tamil Nadu and Nagaland, where it will be implemented in the next month.

Mr. Paswan, has assured that the problems of drastic price rise in Pulses would be curbed as the government is planning to import pulses from other nations. Around 108 lakh tons of pulses will be bought from the foreign countries, primarily from South Africa to solve the issue of scarcity of pulses, thus curbing pulse price rise.
