Government considering PLI scheme for furniture sector to ramp up manufacturing

The government is considering a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for certain types of furniture to boost domestic manufacturing, and exports and create jobs in the sector, reported PTI citing an official. The proposal is at the discussion stage, the official added.
