TPCI signed MOU with Iran Trade Promotion Organisation to identify & expand trade opportunities between India & Iran

TPCI has flourished into the Indian Export Promotion Council of the new age, justifying the ‘Spaghetti-Bowl’ paradigm that typifies today’s global trade. TPCI is steadily eclipsing the competition through its perfect mix of research, advocacy and outreach — a fact demonstrated by the signing of the MOU with Iran Trade Promotion Organization, the first such agreement made by Iran’s official trade body with an Indian counterpart.

The MOU seeks to build long term collaboration to identify key trade facilitation and remedial issues through a mutually agreed action plan which will be built on the ethos of symmetricity of information exchange, sharing of key bilateral trade findings, reciprocity in developing collaborative initiatives, periodical joint meetings, mutuality in hosting trade missions & associated delegations – all geared to take India-Iran trade ties to the next level in the post-sanctions context.

There were also advanced level discussions with Iran International Exhibitions Company (IIEC) on the possibilities and terms of collaboration. After a positive dialogue, there is a healthy understanding of each other’s core-competencies & potential benefits from developing collaborative synergy between TPCI & Iran International Exhibitions Company (IIEC) and an MOU over convergent areas of trade promotion & facilitation is on the anvil.
