TPCI has fruitful meeting with delegation from Nepal

Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) held a fruitful meeting with a distinguished delegation from prominent industry chambers from Nepal today. Delegates from Nepal included Rajesh Shreshtha, President, Nepal Chamber of Commerce; Urmila Shrestha, Chairperson, Nepal Women Chamber; Chandra Shreshta, President, Gorkha Chamber of Commerce; Ashok Shreshta, President, Arghhanchi Chamber of Commerce; Tank Prasad Pokheral, Executive Member, Arghhanchi Chamber of Commerce; Pankaj Joshi, Corporate Member, NCC and Shrishti Tripathi, Deputy Director, Nepal Chamber of Commerce.

The Council was represented by Mohit Singla, Chairman; Kapil Gupta, Joint Director General; Suresh Kr Makhijani, Joint Director General and Ashok Sethi, Director.

TPCI had signed a MoU with Nepal Chamber of Commerce on the sidelines of IndusFood 2018. During the meeting today, both sides held detailed discussions on future avenues of collaboration. Rajesh Shreshtha said that the relationship now needs to move beyond just importing, and Nepalese companies would like to access knowhow, technology, machinery, etc from India. Also, he stressed on the need for more bilateral visits to better understand and engage with each other for mutual benefit. He looks forward to more associations with TPCI to promote Nepal’s prominent sectors including tourism, agro and herbal products.
