In 1945, Mr Bhailalbhai D. Thakkar saw the dream of becoming a leading player in the country’s food and beverage segment as he laid the foundation of his company, Jagdish Foods Pvt. Ltd., with his ‘Khaman-Dhokla’. Over a span of 7 decades, the company grew from Vadodara, Gujarat to today being present in 9 retail outlets in his home town and in more than 15 countries.

Since its inception it became very popular for its delectable products such as Bhakarwadi, Dryfruit Farali Chevdo, Dal Kachori and Diet Chevdo. In addition to these savoury bites, it also has an assortment of khakras such as the tangy Panipuri Khakhra, Chili Coriander Khakhra and Methi Khakhra and mouth-watering sweets such as Kajukatli and Dryfruit Bite and Kaju Sweets. In total, the group has over 4,000 products in its portfolio today. It now aspires to be the world’s premier manufacturer of quality Indian snacks, sweets and namkeens.

The growing customer base of the brand is attributed to a legacy of unforgettable taste, consistency for authentic flavours and the world-class quality of its products. It also speaks of the dedication of its team, and the senior management’s steadfast faith in their capabilities and commitment.  The company’s leadership firmly believes in taking calculated risks without worrying for the future. Jagdish Farshan Pvt Ltd. has been granted five-star Hygiene Rating by FSSAI, Govt. of India. It has also been awarded for “RUCO” (Repurpose Used Cooking Oil) by Chairperson  & CEO of FSSAI, Govt. of India.

Further, it been selected by Govt. of Gujarat to represent Guajarati food at Statue of Unity official food court. After the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, the company became even more conscious about the need to ensure that hygiene is maintained at all stages of production. All the employees of the brand were given online training on COVID-19 Guidelines conducted by FoSTaC (Food Safety Training & Certification) certified by FSSAI, Govt. of India.

The brand is exploring new areas for expansion. Also on the cards is an exclusive range of mouth fresheners. Jagdish Foods would like to enter into new regions through the merchant exporters by giving them exclusivity for their respective markets. It has also started actively exploring e-commerce platforms to enhance its international outreach.
