SUMMARY:Thaifex-World of Food Asia
DESCRIPTION:TPCI with the support of Ministry of Commerce and Industry is organizing an India Pavilion in 16th“THAIFEX” – World of Food Asia at the Impact Exhibition & Convention Centre\, Bangkok\, Thailand during May 28-June 1\, 2019. The mega event will be jointly organised by Koelnmesse\, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) Thailand & Thai Chamber of Commerce\, and is powered by ANUGA\, the world’s largest food & beverage exhibition. \n‘THAIFEX’ – World of Food Asia is the only regional event in the ASEAN region to see a synergistic collaboration between the private & public sector\, playing host to over 2\,500 exhibitors from 40 countries and with around 62\,000 visitors in 2018. \nThailand’s food & beverage imports from around the world stood at US$ 11.7 billion in 2017\, with India occupying 4.3% share. India’s exports of agro food products to Thailand were recorded at US$ 88.98 million in 2017-18 (source: APEDA)\, led by buffalo meat (US$ 21.46 million) groundnuts (11.88 million) and fresh grapes (US$ 10.22 million).
