SUMMARY:FDT Food & Drink Technology Africa 2018
DESCRIPTION:TPCI with the support of Ministry of Commerce and Industry is organizing an India Pavilion in the “FDT Food and Drink Technology Africa”. It is an international trade fair for the food and beverage industry\, which takes place every two years in Johannesburg. Africa is an important growth market and has considerable agricultural potential\, for international companies; there are huge expansion potential and positive long-term business prospects. This is where the FDT Africa steps in\, because it offers to the companies the desired access to the African market. Exhibitors show the latest innovations and technologies for safe\, hygienic and efficient production and packaging of food and beverages and current developments and trends along the entire value chain. The previous trade fair exceeded & witnessed with a turnout of around 1550 participants from 35 countries. \nSouth Africa imported USD 5.7 billion of Food & Beverages in the year 2017 from the world wherein India exported around USD 229.6 million\, capturing 4% of South Africa’s F&B market. The successful editions of the Source India shows have been organized in Kenya\, Ghana and Nigeria with satisfied exhibitors and business visitors. Source India Turkey is trade show cum BSM (Buyer Seller Meet) with a focus on cost effective promotion of Indian exporters in Turkey and facilitate direct access to potential buyers and influential decision makers. It expected to have 3000 trade visitors from Turkey and other neighboring countries where approximately 80 Indian exhibitors from India will be exhibiting and showcasing their products & services. \nTurkey is the world’s 18th largest economy of the world\, worth more than 857.75 billion US dollars in nominal GDP & 2.1 trillion in Purchasing Power Parity. In 2016-17 Turkey imported $188 billion from the world\, making it 18th largest importer in the world. The major & most recent import led by Turkey were Mechanical appliances\, Mineral fuel/oil\, Electrical machinery\, Vehicles\, Iron & Steel etc. Indian exports to Turkey during the same period touched US $4.5 Billion.
