SUMMARY:The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries Commodity Fair
DESCRIPTION:The Show was inaugurated by Mr. Fang Aiqing\, Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce of The People’s Republic of China. In his inaugural speech Vice Minister welcomed all the members and thanked them to attend this prestigious event and was grateful for bringing the companies from different countries. \nTrade Promotion Council Of India with support from Ministry of Commerce\, Government of India and The Embassy of India\, China had organized the TPCI Pavilion at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Countries Commodity Fair (referred to as SCO Countries Commodity Fair) was held in Xi’an\, Shaanxi Province on 24th-26th September 2015 . The event had the participation of The People’s Republic of China\, Republic of Kazakhstan\, Kyrgyz Republic\, Russian Federation\, Republic of Tajikistan\, Republic of Uzbekistan\, India\, Iran\, Mongolia\, Pakistan\, Afghanistan\, Sri Lanka\, Belarus\, Turkey and Turkmenistan. \nThe exhibition provided an ideal platform to showcase India’s capabilities\, products & services and to explore opportunities for marketing tie ups\, joint ventures and other collaborative arrangements. The TPCI Pavilion was visited by Mr. Fang Aiqing\, Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce of The People’s Republic of China. He visited all Indian Participants and appreciated their presence and requested them to come back next year as well. \nAbout 15 Indian companies participated in the exhibition to showcase their products. Vice Minister also appreciated the efforts done in the IBEF Presentation which is in the connection of Invest India. Lunch was hosted by Vice Minister\, Where all the Ministers and Dignitaries from all SCO Countries were present and discussed the modalities in enhancing the trade among them. Minister thanked everyone and welcomed everyone next year as well.

SUMMARY:Indian Business Delegation to Iran During Iran Confair
DESCRIPTION:TPCI has recently participated during Iran Confair (Building & Construction Fair) during 8-10 August\, 2015 with a business Delegation of 10 members from diversified sectors of Building & construction Industry. \nThe main objective of the delegation was to connect Indian Companies representing Building and Construction sector with their Iranian counterparts while enhancing bilateral trade ties between India-Iran. \nApart from Delegation B2B meetings\, TPCI represented by Mr. Mohit Singla\, Chairman of Governing Council and Official CEO and Mr. Rajesh Sharma\, Sr. Director took active initiative to meet the key officials of Trade Promotion Organisation\, Ministry of commerce & Industry & Mining of Iran. \nTPCI representatives met the following officials of TPO\, Iran during this visit. \nMir Aboutaleb Badri Ph. D.\nDeputy of Marketing & Trade Relations \nMr. Mahmoud Bazari\nDirector General of Goods (Export Promotion) \nMr. Ahsan Ghamary\nDirector General Exhibitions and delegations \nThe following points were discussed during various meetings with TPO\, Iran: \n\nIranian side was keen to share the information that after the signing of EU 5+1 agreement\, investments will enhance in Iran. 100% FDI in Non-SEZ & tax holiday in notified Iranian SEZ’s makes Iran a very attractive market for Investors.\nIranian side highlighted the high duty on their saffron export to India which is suffering due to 0% import duty levied on Afghanistan as a result of LDC\, FTA.\nIranian side is seeking technology transfer in textile sector and also wanted machinery and yarn for their consumption. They are also welcoming investment and joint ventures in this sector.\nThe Iranian side informed TPCI delegation about the increase demand in priority sectors such as Food & Agriculture\, Textile\, IT\, Pharmaceuticals & Building & Construction products.\nModalities were discussed in the connection with signing the MOU between TPO and TPCI. This will help in facilitating the trade delegations and taking part in exhibitions in India and Iran.\nThis will open new avenues between two great friends India and Iran. This would surely be a great help for TPO to organise its activities in India. It will be mutually benefited for both the countries. Mr. Rohit Vadhwana\, Second Secretary (Commerce) from Indian Embassy\, Tehran\, Iran was also attended the meeting with Mr. Badri and discussed the modalities of signing the MOU.e
