DESCRIPTION:Greetings from Trade Promotion Council of India! \nTPCI is organising an India Russia Buyer Seller Meet to leverage the Cosmo & Pharma opportunities present in the Russian market. \nDid you know that the volume of the Russian perfume and cosmetics market amounted to 700 bln rubles ($10 bln) in 2021\, and so far it has already increased by 30%?  \nOpportunities in the Russian Market \nCompensate market needs \nCurrently many big corporations have suspended their activity in Russia\, so retailers are looking for new products and manufacturers to compensate for the market needs which continue to be strong with a population over 146 mln people. \nFavourable currency exchange rate \nThe euro/dollar exchange rate to ruble is very favorable to Russian businesses\, so the purchasing power is very high. \nOpen niches \nImports of cosmetics from CIS countries and China showed an increase of $30 mln in April 2022. Earlier in 2021 the top-3 in cosmetics suppliers to our market were headed by companies from France\, Germany and Italy. \nNew opportunities have now emerged in the Russian market for the Indian companies due to trade and financial sanctions imposed by the US\, EU and other countries.  The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has opened up various trade avenues for Indian companies across various sectors including Cosmetics and beauty .
