FSSAI Issues Nine Manuals on Food Test Methods and Sampling Methodology

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued nine manuals on testing methodology for various food products to be used by the food safety laboratories, with immediate effect, as reported by USDA.

FSSAI published manuals for its requirements on test methods and analysis by laboratories which pertain to a variety of milk and milk products, oil and fats, fruits and vegetable products, cereal and cereal products, food additives, mycotoxins, spices and condiments, metals. Besides theses manuals, FSSAI has also issued a manual to provide general guidelines on sampling methodologies.
