TPCI holds meeting with the Acting Deputy for Foreign Trade, GTC of Iran

On 1st July 2018, Mr. Ashok Sethi, Director, TPCI, had a fruitful meeting with Mr. Amir Hossein Shahmir, Acting Deputy for Foreign Trade, Government Trading Corporation of Iran.
Iran is the second largest economy in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and is the fifth largest importer of food & beverages from India, importing US $910.3 million worth of F&B from the country including cereals, coffee, tea, edible fruit & nuts, oilseeds, etc.
During the discussion, Mr. Sethi briefed Mr. Hossein about TPCI’s flagship International Food Show cum Reverse Buyer Seller Meet (RBSM) – INDUSFOOD II, which will be held in Delhi on January 14-15, 2019 and extended the personal invitation from Chairman to Mr Amir Hossein Shahmir. He also requested him to encourage Iranian businessmen to participate in the event. Participation in INDUSFOOD-II will provide great opportunity to the Iranian businessmen to strengthen business relations with their Indian counterparts. Mr. Hossein responded positively to the invitation extended by the Chairman TPCI and assured Mr Sethi that he will encourage other Iranian businessmen to participate in the event.
