Focus on enhancing trade in food and agri sector with Vietnam

A high level Vietnamese delegation from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam met a Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) delegation at the Vietnamese embassy in Delhi to discuss avenues to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries. The Vietnam delegation was led by Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of the Ministry and accompanied by senior government officials and Vietnamese businessmen from the agriculture sector.

Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Agriculture Vietnam (who can be seen in picture with Mohit Singla, Chairman TPCI) said a strong delegation from Vietnam will be visiting Indusfood to source the requirements of F&B products to India. He said he has come with a mission to promote agriculture and talked of trading of fruits, including pomegranate, mango and oranges from India and Dragon Fruit, Longan fruit, Vietnamese pepper and coffee to India. Courtesy the advanced SEZs that have come up in Vietnam, he said a lot of room has been created to improve two way trade.
