World’s largest Indian food & beverage sourcing show- IndusFood 2020, was inaugurated by the Commerce Secretary, GOI, Dr. Anup Wadhawan, IAS, on 8th January 2020 at India Exposition Mart Ltd, Greater Noida. TPCI got overwhelmed with the eminent visit of Mr. Hee-chul Jung, Chief Representative (Director), Korea International Trade Association (KITA), today. Mr. Jung met Mr. Mohit Singla, Chairman, TPCI, and exchanged notes on mutual trade and cooperation. The Korea International Trade Association (KITA), established in 1946, is a private non-profit trade organization which is currently the largest business organization in Korea with over 70,000 member companies.
The Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA), Chairman, Dr. Davish Jain, visited TPCI today. He is also the Vice Chairman, Prestige Education Society. During his meeting, Dr. Jain shared his valuable industry prospective on soybean exports and its contribution as India’s farm produce. Dr. Jain is also the active member of the PM’s committee for doubling the farmers’ income by 2022.
TPCI participated at the Select USA Investment Summit 2019. For this event, TPCI had partnered with Embassy of the United States to jointly promote ‘Select USA 2019 Investment Summit’. The Summit was held from June 10-12, 2019, in Washington DC.

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) met the TPCI Chairman Mr. Mohit Singla at TPCI office in New Delhi on 21st May 2019. The meeting was held to explore how colorations of both the councils can help leverage overall trade. TPCI requested CCPIT to participate in the Indus Food Tech which will be held in January 2020. Mr. Mohit Singla, Chairman, Trade Promotion Council of India was invited by the Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi to deliver an address to Indian Foreign Service Officer Trainees (OTs) of the 2018 Batch and 2 Bhutanese diplomats on May 17, 2019, as part of their Induction Training Programme. TPCI officials engaged in an interaction with Mr Mohammad Mansoor Sahak, Commercial Counsellor, Embassy of Afghanistan in New Delhi. The two sides deliberated on upcoming TPCI initiatives – Indusfood, Indusfood Tech (8-10 Jan, 2020) and Indusfood Chem along with the proposed BSM in the F&B Sector in Kabul during 2019. Cooperation between TPCI and the Embassy for inbound delegations from Afghanistan was also a key agenda for discussion. The meeting also focused on enhancing opportunities for expanding the business relationship between the two countries through various modes including public-private partnership (P-P-P), projects, investment and export of Afghani products to India.
